BELDISCO
Now in beta on iOS

Your music diary.
Your taste. Your story.

Log every album you listen to. Rate it, review it. BELDISCO exists for one reason: to make music listening intentional.

Letterboxd.
But for music.

BELDISCO is an album diary app built on one conviction: music listening should be intentional. Not passive, not algorithmic. Something you choose, sit with, and remember.

Log every album, rate it, review it, mark it as a favorite. Build a living archive of your musical journey and share it with people who actually listen.

Built for music people. Built by music people.

Every alternative
misses the point.

Last.fm

Last.fm tracks every play automatically, whether you were actually listening or it was just on in the background. It doesn't know the difference and neither does your profile. BELDISCO works the other way. You decide what counts. You log an album because you sat with it, you give it a rating that means something, and your profile becomes a real record of your taste rather than a history of what your speakers were doing. Additionally, BELDISCO's aim is to make the social side alive and it's mobile first, two things that for Last.fm are just afterthoughts.

RateYourMusic

The enthusiast's choice. Deep cataloging, beloved by serious listeners. But it's a dense desktop website. A database, not a community.

Spotify

Brilliant at streaming. Social features are superficial and constantly axed. No reviews, no ratings, no diary. You consume. You don't reflect.

Album of the Year

Solid ratings aggregator. But no native app, no friend feed, no personal logging. Closer to Metacritic than Letterboxd.

Letterboxd

Not a music app — but the closest spiritual model. It proved a social diary built around a single medium can become a cultural institution. Nobody has done this for music. Yet.

Everything a serious
listener needs.

Log & Rate

Give any album a rating from 0.5 to 5 stars. Write a review. Mark the date you listened. Your diary, your way.

Discover

Your feed surfaces what's trending among people you follow and picks curated for your taste, based on what you love.

↗︎

Follow Curators

Find people with great taste. Follow them. Get recommendations that mean something because a real person vouched for them.

Your Profile

A clean record of everything you've logged. Your level, your stats, and badges earned along the way.

Curated Lists

Create themed collections of albums. "Best of 2024", "Essential jazz", "Albums that broke my heart". Share them, follow others, and find music through the people who know what they're talking about.

Concert Diary

Log every show you've been to. Rate it, write what you remember. Build a record of your live music life alongside your listening history. Because some albums only make sense after you've heard them live.

Rewards & Reputation

Every log builds toward your listener level — a public rank that shows the world how deep your catalog goes. Hidden achievements get dropped into your profile when you least expect it, each one named after a record or song that true music fans will instantly recognize. Your badges are your reputation.
